The Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation promotes the international dissemination of Italian literary and cinematic works by providing incentives for translation and dubbing/subtitling. These incentives represent a strategic tool for the promotion of the Italian language and culture abroad.
The Ministry provides two types of financial incentives:

Grant for the translation of an Italian work to be published abroad (not yet published), as well as for the production, dubbing and subtitling of short and feature films and television series;
-
Award for an Italian work that has already been translated and published abroad.
Applications must be submitted by writing to this Institute (iicnairobi@esteri.it) in accordance with the procedures set out in the official Call for Applications.
The deadline for submitting applications for the 2026 edition is 31 March 2026.
