The Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS) in Nairobi and the Italian Cultural Institute, under the patronage of the Embassy of Italy in Nairobi, are launching the “Empowering Art: Kenya’s Creative Voices” competition.
This contest offers Kenyan artists the opportunity to express themselves through visual art, addressing crucial themes related to gender equality and women’s empowerment. The selected artworks will be exhibited during the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence (November 25 – December 10), a global campaign aimed at raising awareness on this issue.
👩🎨 Who can participate?
• Young talents (18-25 years old) with no significant professional experience
• Established artists with at least 3 years of experience in the creative sector
🎨 Accepted formats:
• Digital artworks (illustrations, graphics)
• Traditional drawings and paintings
📅 Deadline for submission: May 8, 2025, at 2:00 PM (Nairobi time).
