The Italian Cultural Institute of Nairobi is pleased to invite you to the Masterclass “The Lifecycle of Immersive Cinema and My Experience with the Venice Biennale Cinema College” with director and producer Vincenzo Cavallo.
The event is organized by Black Rhino VR Innovation Hub and Cultural Video Production/TheNrbBus, with the support of the Italian Cultural Institute.

Vincenzo Cavallo, winner of the Lumiere Award and the XR Must Award in 2020 with African Space Makers and recipient of the Venice Biennale College Cinema Immersive Production Grant in 2025 with the immersive work Ri-Launching Luigi Broglio which also received the award for Best European 360° Immersive Experience in 2025, will share his full professional journey in the immersive/XR field.
The masterclass will provide a practical overview of the entire lifecycle of an immersive work: from research and development to production, post-production, distribution, and current funding opportunities in the XR/VR sector, with a special focus on Italy.
This session is designed for filmmakers, producers, screenwriters, curators of cultural and museum spaces, and professionals interested in experimental and immersive cinema.
