As part of his artistic residency in Nairobi, Italian guitarist and composer Claudio Quartarone will perform in a special jazz concert on Thursday, 12 March at 7:00 PM at the Austin Room, Braeburn School (Gitanga Road).
Quartarone is in Nairobi within the framework of the AIR – Artisti in Residenza project, promoted by MIDJ and supported by SIAE, in collaboration with the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and Europe Jazz Network. During his residency, he has been engaging with the local music community through concerts, workshops, and educational activities.
For this concert, he will be joined by Kenyan trumpeter Mackinley Mutsembi, bassist Moses Karanja and percussionist Victor Kitusa for an evening dedicated to contemporary jazz, improvisation, and musical dialogue.
