The Italian Cultural Institute is pleased to invite you to the recital “Kakuma. Fishing in the Desert”, a co-production in collaboration with the National Theatre of Genoa that will be staged in Nairobi on Friday 19 May at 6 pm at the Trademark Hotel (back terrace, 2nd floor).
“Kakuma. Fishing in the Desert” is a reading with electronic music and a live singing voice that recounts the life of Kakuma, one of the world’s largest refugee camps on the border between Kenya and South Sudan, through the voices of the aid workers who work there.
Entry is free upon reservation. Please confirm your participation to this email address by Wednesday 17th May.
Refreshments will be offered at the end of the performance.
