Italian Movie Month: “Power of Rome”

The Italian Cultural Institute has the pleasure of inviting you to the forth and last appointment with the Italian Movie Month at UNSEEN Cinema Hall (Wood Avenue Plaza, Wood Avenue, Nairobi)!

THURSDAY 29th JUNE: ‘POWER OF ROME’

Our fourth screening (Thursday 29 June at 18:30) is ‘Power of Rome’, a docufilm directed by Giovanni Troilo and starring Edoardo Leo and Giorgia Spinelli. The film begins on the set of an American production where the actor who is to play Julius Caesar (here played by Edoardo Leo) leaves filming to take a tour to rediscover his Rome. From here, the city is portrayed in all its splendour, with a complex and contradictory history, “a cynical, mocking, violent city, founded on blood and yet capable of rising again and again in the name of beauty”.

The film will be screened in Italian with English subtitles. Free entrance till the maximum capacity of the cinema hall is reached.
