The Italian Cultural Institute is pleased to inform you that on the occasion of the “Fare Cinema” festival, the month of June will be dedicated to Italian cinema, with four screenings to be held at the UNSEEN cinema hall (Wood Avenue Plaza, Wood Avanue Nairobi) on 8, 15, 22 and 29 June.
The second screening we are organizing (on Thursday 15th at 6:30pm) is “The Strangeness”, directed by Roberto Andò and winner of four David di Donatello cinema awards. The protagonist is the Nobel Prize winner, Luigi Pirandello (interpreted by award-winning Toni Servillo) who returns to his beloved Sicily for the birthday of his mentor and novelist, Giovanni Verga. However, what was supposed to be a joyful moment is completely transformed at the news of the death of his old nanny. This event will lead Pirandello to meet two bizarre morticians (interpreted by the comic duo of Ficarra and Picone).
The film will be screened in Italian with English subtitles. Free entrance till the maximum capacity of the cinema hall is reached
