Italian Classical Music. Live Concert Under the Light of Gede Ruins

We are pleased to announce the classical music concert ‘Italian Classical Music. Live Concert Under the Light of Gede Ruins’, a unique event that will be held on Saturday 15th February at 5.45 p.m. at the evocative archaeological area of the Gede Ruins.

The concert – organised in collaboration with the Embassy of Italy – will feature the Enkare String Quartet, one of the most renowned string quartets active in Kenya, performing a repertoire based on pieces by the most famous classical Italian composers.

With over a decade of collective experience, the Enkare String Quartet performs in a variety of genres, ranging from classical to contemporary music, and is driven by an open and collaborative approach to music-making. Members of the quartet play both nationally and internationally and regularly participate in the Cellobration and Nairobi Orchestra in Kenya, the Dar Choral Society in Tanzania, the BISYOC Intercultural Youth Orchestra & Amadeus Orchestra in the UK, The Cello Ensemble Freude, The Dalminer Orchestra & The Orchestra of Pavia in Italy and the Seoul International Community Orchestra in South Korea.

For this occasion, the Enkare String Quartet will perform a rich repertoire based on the most famous Italian composers.
