As part of the XX edition of the Italian Language Week Worldwide, the Italian Cultural Institute in Madrid presents the Comics in Museums series, conceived by the Ministry for Cultural Heritage and Activities and for Tourism, in collaboration with Coconino Press – Fandango to tell, through the pencil of 51 of the most famous cartoonists on the national scene, the contemporaneity of Italian museums, offering young people a different vision of museum collections.
The meeting will be attended by: Massimo Osanna, Director General of MIBACT Museums and Director of the Archaeological Park of Pompeii Maria Cristina Missioni, Director of the Central Institute for Graphics, José Manuel Matilla, Jefe de Conservación de Dibujos y Estampas of the Prado Museum, who will present the experience of the Historietas del Prado, published in 2019 on the occasion of the Bicentenary of the Museum, and the cartoonists Lorena Canottiere and Zuzu.
