We are delighted to announce tha Maestro Dorina Frati (mandolin) and Maestro Daniele Roi (piano) will be in Kenya to perform in two concerts, that will be held in Mombasa and Diani.
Dorina Frati is an Italian classical mandolin player. She performs regularly with important orchestras such as The Philharmonic of La Scala, the National Academy of Santa Cecilia and the Philharmonic of Rome. She completed her studies with Giuseppe Anedda, graduating from the Pollini Conservatory of Padua, Italy. She is considered among the greatest virtuosos on the international mandolin scene and has performed also under the direction of Maestro Riccardo Muti, who invited her to perform with the Bayrischer Rundfunk Simphonieorchester of Munich, Germany. Alongside her intense concert activity, Dorina Frati also teaches mandolin at the Conservatoire “L. Marenzio” in Brescia.
Daniele Roi, pianist and harpsichordist, studied with maestros Paul Badura Skoda, Huguette Dreyfus and Giovanni Guglielmo. He specialised in chamber music and for years has dedicated himself to the study and dissemination of ancient dance with a particular interest in baroque dance. She has played as harpsichordist in various orchestras and major festivals worldwide and has recorded several works with repertoire ranging from baroque to contemporary.
The two concerts in Kenya – focusing on the instrument of the classical mandolin and its virtuosity, with a repertoire from the late 17th to the 20th century – will be held on the following days
