The Italian Cultural Institute of Nairobi presents Italy-Kenya Dialogue on Veterinary Science and Livestock Production – Strengthening Collaboration and Shared Innovation, a round table aimed at fostering a genuine exchange of experiences, research, and best practices among academic institutions, public bodies, health authorities, and private sector stakeholders.
This meeting is organized by the Embassy of Italy in Kenya, the University of Nairobi, and the Kenya Agriculture and Livestock Research Organization (KALRO), in collaboration with this Institute, and will be held on Tuesday, 15 July, from 8:30 a.m. at the Department of Clinical Studies, University of Nairobi – Kabete Campus.
The veterinary and livestock sector is fundamental for economic and social development, food security, public health, and biodiversity conservation in both Italy and Kenya. Despite its great potential, both countries share common challenges such as access to veterinary services, sanitary regulations, and the development of high-value-added value chains, such as leather and hides.
