On the occasion of the Italian Design Day and the bicentenary of Carlo Collodi’s birth, the Italian Cultural Institute in Nairobi – in collaboration with the Embassy of Italy, ITA – Italian Trade Agency Office and Nairobi Design Week – presents the exhibition “Dearest Pinocchio. Italian designers and graphic artists redesign the world’s most famous puppet” curated by Giulio Iacchetti and promoted by the ADI Design Museum.
The exhibition features a selection of 21 design objects inspired by Pinocchio and created by Italian companies, as well as 62 unpublished graphic and design projects created for the occasion. The public is offered a kaleidoscopic and surprising vision of Italian creativity, demonstrating its ability to reinterpret an iconic figure of Italian literature with originality and innovation.
Opening event: Friday, March 6, from 5:00 p.m., on the occasion of the launch of Nairobi Design Week.
