On the occasion of the 2026 Italian Research Day in the World, this Institute, in collaboration with the Embassy of Italy in Nairobi and Strathmore University, presents “The Future of Intelligence”, an event dedicated to the future of science, artificial intelligence, and technological innovation.
The event will take place on Monday, 18 May 2026, at the iLabAfrica Centre at Strathmore University, from 11:00 am to 2:30 pm, and will feature Prof. Simone Severini, Distinguished Engineer at Google Cloud and Professor of Physics of Information at UCL, as special guest speaker.
The programme will include a keynote lecture on the future of science in the age of machines, a panel discussion with experts, and a networking session bringing together academia and industry.
