DIVA! Italian Glamour in Fashion Jewellery

The Italian Cultural Institute, in collaboration with the Embassy of Italy in Nairobi, is pleased to invite you to the exhibition DIVA! Italian Glamour in Fashion Jewellery, taking place from 17 to 19 May 2025 at Village Market (new extension gallery) from 9 AM to 6 PM.

Promoted by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the exhibition is curated by Alba Cappellieri, Professor of Jewellery Design at Politecnico di Milano and Director of the Vicenza Museum of Jewellery, with the assistance of Beatrice Rossato, Livia Tenuta, and Susanna Testa.

This refined exhibition explores over 70 years of Italian fashion jewellery, showcasing more than 200 iconic pieces that reflect Italy’s creativity, innovation, and excellence in design. Among the featured designers and fashion houses: Angela Caputi, Versace, Dolce & Gabbana, Gucci, Elio Fiorucci, Missoni, Ornella Bijoux, Iosselliani, Sharra Pagano, and many more key figures from the Italian creative scene.

Opening Event – Friday, 16 May at 6:30 PM
Join us for a special opening evening featuring curators Beatrice Rossato and Susanna Testa, who will offer an introductory talk to present the exhibition’s themes. The evening will also include live music by Scott the Violinist and a light refreshment.

Children’s Workshop – Saturday, 17, 2:00 PM–5:30 PM
Children are invited to take part in a creative jewellery-making activity organized by Riko Creations. While the kids enjoy the workshop, parents can take their time exploring the exhibition.

The exhibition will remain open to the public from 17 to 19 May 2025 from 9 AM to 6 PM.
