Discover the profound intersection of female leadership and climate change through the lens of captivating photographs at an exclusive event: the collective exhibition “I Want You to Know” at the University of Nairobi.
“I Want You to Know” showcases compelling images captured in Kenya by the talented Gaia Squarci and emerging photographers Alphonce Oluoch, Ruth Mutinda, Jamal Gooddisa, Catherine Kabiru, and Kelcy Nyaga.
During her artistic residency in Kenya, supported by IIC Nairobi, AICS Nairobi, Cortona on the Move, WeWorld Onlus, and Mwelu Foundation, Gaia utilized photography to delve into unique perspectives on climate change. The exhibition offers an intimate and powerful look at the experiences, challenges, and hopes of the protagonists of the images through the eyes of these talented artists.
The exhibition will be launched on November 24th during the opening event of the “Activate Nairobi” campaign for the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence at Chandaria Hall and will be on display until December 3rd at the University Tower.
