Dear Friends,

the Italian Cultural Institute  in Nairobi celebrates the beginning of 2016 with the reopening of its premises – having undergone renovations in the last few months – and a series of events dedicated to archaeology.

A lecture by the Italian Archaeologist  Savino Di Lernia – Director of the Italian Archaeological mission in the Libyan Sahara –   will take place at the National Museum January 14th at 2,30pm, before departing for Turkana where – in collaboration with the Department of Archaeology of the National Museum of Kenya – he will carry out a survey in preparation for a possible Italian Archaeological mission.

On January 15th at 6.00pm, at the Institute, during a “no themed” evening, there will be a photographic exhibition realized by UNESCO and presented together with Archaeological movies by Italian director Lucio Rosa.

Following this there will be music by the young artists of Ghetto Classics and the launch of a dedicated App for Culture. An Italian buffet by Pomodoro Village Market will complete our meeting.

Looking forward to seeing you.
