Mostra “1849-1871. Ebrei di Roma tra segregazione ed emancipazione”
An exhibition itinerary and a video project to tell of the construction of a united Italy and the role of the Italian Jewish communities.
On the occasion of the day of remembrance 2022, which is celebrated every year on January 27, a video-tour presenting the exhibition “1849-1871. Jews of Rome between segregation and emancipation “, created by the Jewish Community of Rome and the Foundation for the Jewish Museum of Rome for the 150th anniversary of the proclamation of Rome as the capital of the Kingdom of Italy. The exhibition makes use of loans from the most important Italian museums of the Risorgimento and prestigious private collections, with the aim of making known and narrating the commitment and involvement of Italian Jews in the period of the Risorgimento.
